Well, here’s some good news! Kelly Clarkson is releasing a new single tomorrow (March 27) called “Broken & Beautiful.” Unfortunately, it’s not the first taste of KC9. Instead, it is taken from the soundtrack of Ugly Dolls — an upcoming animated movie featuring the voices of Kelly, Bebe Rexha and Nick Jonas. “I’m so excited to announce my new single, ‘Broken & Beautiful’ from the Ugly Dolls soundtrack is coming out this Wednesday!” the enduring pop icon tweeted yesterday afternoon.
“You’ll be able to pre-order the album which features several new songs from me,” she added. “Can’t wait for y’all to hear all of them out April 26th.” Kelly also uploaded a cute video (below), which reveals that the movie comes out in May. I guess this means that the Meaning Of Life era is officially over. It will be interesting to see if the 36-year-old continues making soul music or throws in a bit of pop/rock (her true calling in my opinion) on her next opus. In the meantime, get ready for “Broken & Beautiful.”
