Boogie has released a new track, “Hypocrite Freestyle,” which samples Quinyetta McMillon, the mother of Alton Sterling’s oldest child, addressing the effect his recent murder will have on their son’s life. In a tweet from earlier today, Boogie said he made the track “out of frustration and fear for my kid NOT promo.” Produced by Keyel,“Hypocrite Freestyle” addresses Boogie’s feelings on police brutality, along with reflections on his own run-ins with the police. He raps, “I’m just hoping they arrest me/That’s better than getting shot/And forgot about the next week/Ain’t trying to be no hashtag.”
