An even ‘Big Brother’ wins the night for CBS.
Big Brother was again the biggest thing going on Wednesday night.The CBS reality show averaged an even 1.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 6.1 million viewers at 8 p.m. That bested the time slot’s competition: an America’s Got Talent encore on NBC and an even MasterChef (1.2 adults) on Fox.During the 9 o’clock hour, Fox was the only network airing an original. It had a slightly boosted episode of drama Wayward Pines, which pulled 0.8 rating among adults 18-49.The nights’ most significant grower was The Night Shift. The NBC drama matched a season high by jumping three-tenths of a point in the key demo to a 1.1 rating. That almost doubled its closest competition, CBS’ American Gothic (0.6 adults).
