Last week, a crunchy piece of new Crystal Castles music dubbed “Concrete” surfaced on the internet, and last night, the group followed it with a video. The clip features new singer Edith Frances ducking through a crowded dance floor, wearing a shirt repping for defunct New York City metal band Type O Negative.
Crystal Castles’ next album, the first since the departure of original frontwoman Alice Glass, is rumored to be called Amnesty (I). A pre-order listing visible on Amazon France indicates a release date of August 19. We’ve also seen a short video clip for a yet-to-be-released single, “Femen.” Watch “Concrete” below.
