Fred Armisen and Bill Hader’s parody-documentary TV series “Documentary Now!” returns for its second season this fall. Following in the footsteps of last season’s fake rockumentary about their fake soft rock band Blue Jean Committee, Armisen and Hader are now filming a parody of Jonathan Demme’s classic 1984 Talking Heads concert documentary Stop Making Sense that will air in the second season. “Test Pattern” follows a band of the same name as they perform their final concert. The episode will co-star Maya Rudolph and feature songs written by Armisen.
There will be a live taping of the “Test Pattern” episode hosted by “Documentary Now!” writer and comedian John Mulaney in San Gabriel, California on July 7. Fans can attend the event by RSVPing on Facebook.
