Back in 2011, Lil B placed a fateful curse on NBA player Kevin Durant. “KEVIN DURANT WILL NEVER WIN THE TITLE AFTER HE SAID “LIL B” IS A WACK RAPPER,” Lil B wrote on Twitter. “#THEBASEDGODSCURSE.” In the years that followed, the rapper released a diss track, lifted (and reinstated) the curse, and later credited himself for a series of injuries Durant suffered. Earlier this year, eyebrows raised as Durant’s Oklahoma City Thunder seemed poised to take the series—but the Golden State Warriors, representing Lil B’s hometown, miraculously returned from a 3-1 deficit. Today, however, history was made: Durant left the Thunder and joined the Warriors. In response, Lil B has lifted the Based God’s curse on Kevin Durant.
