Chance the Rapper, a longtime patron and promoter of WhirlyBall, has called out the Chicago amusement center over alleged mistreatment by its staff. His visit last night involved a disagreement with door staff and security over the venue’s new dress code, according to his tweets. “It’s very inaccessible if you’re black or friends with black people,” Chance wrote. He concluded, “Sad end to a family place.” Chance also retweeted a screenshot of the website’s hyper-specific dress code. See it all below.

Don’t go to @WhirlyBall it’s very inaccessible if you’re black or friends with black people, they’ve clearly outlined in their dress code

Don’t bother trying to speak with the MGMT @WhirlyBall the new armed security will make sure you can’t, per managements request.

I thought for a sec that just the 1825 w Webster @WhirlyBall in Chicago felt this way but it’s on the website. Sad end to a family place.

This @WhirlyBall Dress Code is OD. 🙄 btw “flashy” is super ambiguous same for “improperly fitted”. pic.twitter.com/iAjtBKxFrl
