Earlier this year, Sturgill Simpson appeared as a musical guest on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” where he performed “Brace for Impact (Live a Little)” from his new album A Sailor’s Guide to Earth. During that same show, he and Colbert pitched an original song to be played at Waffle House’s jukebox. (Waffle House locations include a jukebox featuring a series of songs that are specifically about the restaurant.)  Last night, Stephen Colbert revealed that their collaboration, “No Shirt, No Shoes, No Knuckleheads,” was included on Waffle House’s jukeboxes. A segment from last night’s show documented Colbert and Simpson’s trip to a Waffle House in Charleston, South Carolina to hear their song. The video features Colbert and Simpson interviewing Waffle House patrons, messing around with some knucklehead teenagers, and of course, eating a heaping plate of waffles. Watch the video below.
