It’s official: The Avalanches are a two-album band. The sample-happy Australians have released their very highly anticipated sophomore record, Wildflower, just 16 years after cult-classic debut Since I Left You. Actual high-school sophomores have been made in less time, but if you have access to Apple Music, the wait is over: You can stream Wildflower a week early.
If you use another service, or if you’re holding out for a physical copy, you have one more week to wait: Wildflower officially arrives July 8. Meanwhile, revisit first single “Frankie Sinatra” and Zane Lowe’s interview with the band here.
