Christoph Waltz and Jimmy Kimmel revealed their failed audition tape for the ‘Siegfried and Roy’ biopic.

Christoph Waltz visited Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday to promote the new film The Legend of Tarzan, another movie in which the actor plays the role of the villain. Tired of being Hollywood’s go-to baddie, Waltz has set his sights on a more positive role: Playing either Siegfried or Roy in the just-announced biopic about the famed magicians.

Siegfried & Roy to Tell Life Story in Upcoming Biopic »To help Waltz in his quest, Kimmel joined the actor in costume for an audition tape for Siegfried & Roy: Magic Secrets.
As evidenced by the audition tape, the duo’s chemistry is significantly short of magical: Waltz and Kimmel first spar over who is playing Roy Horn in the biopic, even though Kimmel is wearing Horn’s brunette wig. After Kimmel’s German accent makes the line “not the magician” sound like “Nazi magician,” the actor and the late night host argue about how to properly speak with a German accent. “You never heard of a German accent?,” Kimmel asked Waltz, a German.
Despite the failed audition, Waltz later revealed to Kimmel that he got the part.
