Converse Rubber Tracks x MetalSucks is back! For the fourth year in a row, our friends at MetalSucks has teamed up with Converse to offer unsigned metal bands an opportunity to record COMPLETELY FOR FREE at the state-of-the-art Converse Rubber Tracks recording studios in Brooklyn — with acclaimed producer Will Putney (The Acacia Strain, Suicide Silence, Exhumed) — and in Boston — with the great Kurt Ballou (Converge, High on Fire, Torche).
But there’s a twist this year: whereas in past years of CRTxMetalSucks each band has had just one day to set up, dial in their tones and bang out a track, this year each chosen band will get TWO full days to work with their chosen producer to fine-tune their song(s) to be the best they possibly can be. Each producer will be working with three bands over the course of a six-day week, making for six total bands chosen for this year’s promotion.
Registration is open NOW through July 22nd: SIGN UP HERE. Make sure to include a link to listen to music that shows off your best stuff.
MetalSucks co-head-honchos Vince and Axl will sort through the entries together with Will and Kurt and select their collective favorites. The Boston sessions with Kurt will take place between August 29th and September 2nd, and the Brooklyn sessions with Will will take place September 26 through October 1st. Your band will be assigned one day, and you’ll be responsible for getting there yourself. Vince and Axl will also be on-hand in the studio and the Metal Injection lads will be there taking video footage as well.
That number once again: SIGN UP HERE.
