Yoko Ono debuted the video for the Miike Snow remix of her song “Catman.” Charmed actress Rose McGowan directed the Sixties-inspired video, wherein a young woman in a cat-like face mask and black outfit dances into a room of older women sitting sullenly at school desks.

Yoko Ono Takes Us Inside Her MOMA Retrospective »After the feline-woman spins by them, the older women look up and start frolicking around with the woman. The video represents solidarity among women of all ages and the joys of movement.
“Yoko Ono has been an ardent supporter of women and modern dance for years,” McGowan said. “Casting women dancers over 60, including one with cancer, was my way of showing that vitality doesn’t die with age. I used color overlays to create my own visual beat.” The Ono-world, she said, is “an important one.”
The original version of Ono’s “Catman” appeared on Ono’s 1973 double album Approximately Infinite Universe while the remix was part of her 2016 LP Yes, I’m a Witch Too.
