Top Contenders: The Best of Strung Out

Strung Out has been a major force in the Punk Rock genre for many years. Long enough to have compiled a 23 song album of their most iconic songs. Add three previously unreleased tracks and you’ve got a jem on your hands.

Strung Out has always blurred the line between fast heavy punk and straight forward metal . Joined by amazing drummer Jordan Burns formerly of Pulley and fronted by dark poet/ artist Jason Cruz, two shredding guitarist Jake Kiley, and Rob Ramos and killer bassist Chris Aiken, there’s no weak links in this band by a longshot. Really original and genius songwriting meets technical prowess and politically and socially charged lyrics with quality and integrity.

Some of my personal favorites live on this album… Old school Strung Out like “Exhumation of Virginia Madison”  and “Bring Out Your Dead” and some of their later efforts like the touching story of a soldier at odds with his struggle to be away from those he  loves, called “Letter Home”. Three unreleased songs called “City Lights”, “Saturday Night”and “Here We Are”. A healthy dose of the deranged for all you ghouls to feast on!!!!
